Let's boost the best bits of summer by step into our retreat space. Settle in with a warm cuppa, friendly chatter and the soothing environment begin to ease your mind, setting the tone for a day of complete relaxation and rejuvenation.

The retreat begins with a gentle sensory relaxation session, led by Adele. You lie back and let her guide you into a state of deep thought through Yoga Nidra, a practice designed to calm your mind and restore your body. As you emerge from this restful state, you feel a sense of lightness and clarity and reinvigoration, ready for the day and weeks ahead.

After a short tea break, Hilary introduces you to 'Shu Jing Gong,' a timeless TaiChi QiGong practice rooted in Buddhist movement methodology. Her expertise and knowledgable demeanor help you connect with each movement, fostering a deep sense of inner peace and balance as you move your body. This practice not only energises your body but also calms your spirit, preparing you for a rejuvenating afternoon.

Midday, you enjoy a light, fresh lunch filled with seasonally inspired treats. Each bite is not only delicious but also caters to all dietary needs, ensuring everyone feels nourished and cared for.

The afternoon session sees a consolidation of the TaiChi QiGong practice, allowing you to deepen your understanding and connection with this ancient art. The movements flow more naturally now, your body responding with newfound ease and strength.

 

As the day winds down, you transition into a restorative yoga session, inspired by the energy of summer. In Yin yoga, summer is seen as the peak of Yang energy, a time of warmth, activity, and joy. This session helps you balance this vibrant energy with the calming principles of Yin, embracing acceptance, patience, and inner peace. You feel your heart health improve and your spirit lift as you move through each pose, guided by the serene environment around you.

The day concludes with another session of Yoga Nidra, bringing you full circle to a place of deep relaxation and rejuvenation. You leave the retreat feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready to embrace the busy summer season with a renewed sense of balance and joy.

Optional Extra:
For those who wish to delve deeper, join Hilary on Sunday for a special 2-hour session to further explore the Shu Jing Gong TaiChi QiGong practice. This additional time helps consolidate the learnings from Saturday, offering an even deeper sense of peace and mastery.
